Recently there was a photography competition @ Tata Capital on the occasion of our 62nd Independence Day with the theme being "Future India... Here's what I sent in:
"Future India: Let there be light"
Rabindranath Tagore had envisioned India as a "knowledge superpower" long before it became today's buzzword when he penned the famous lines: "Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; / Where knowledge is free; … " - this photograph attempts to capture Kaviguru's dreams being realised in future India where the light of knowledge has eradicated the darkness of ignorance across the nation...
"Future India: India Shining and it's closer than we think!"
In the photograph, the mirror has an inscription that reads: "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear" – India shining bright is closer than we think… and this photograph captures attempts to capture just that.
"Future India: Never look back"
I believe that this photograph is a metaphor of the state of future India – a brave, young nation moving forward towards greatness, one step at a time and leaving its imprint on the world…
